On March 8, 2007, I went to the Doctor to confirm that I was pregnant. Trust me I didn't believe it. But 4 home pregnancy tests and 2 doctors visits confirmed it to be true. After finding out it was true, I was extremely scared. All I could think about was 'What is Michael going to think? What is he going to say? Is he going to be happy? Our parents are going to kill us!'. Ugh.. a million things were going through my mind. At the time we found out, Michael and I were living together and not married, which made everything more complicated. Growing up in strong Christian homes, we were extremely worried about what our parents were going to say. While I was sitting in my moms office eating lunch with her, I decided that it was the perfect time to tell her. I started crying and I told her. I was surprised by her reaction. She stood up, walked over to me and hugged me and told me that it was going to be alright. I was so relieved that she knew! I needed her more than anything right now. Everyday after telling my mom, I urged Michael to tell his parents. Hes a 'timing is everything' kind of guy. Well.. he timed it too long because a family friend ended up telling them. Michael got a call from them at about 11:00 one night and they weren't very happy because they didn't hear it from him. So we went over to there house and talked to them basically about how we felt and how we were going to get married. At the end of the conversation everyone hugged and said their I love yous. It ended up being easy talking to our parents about it, they were very loving and supportive.
